John "Jay" Cooper is a native of Mississippi. John "Jay" Cooper has been surrounded by great gospel music and sound gospel preaching all of his life. It is no wonder that he has a natural gift to proclaim the Gospel of Christ with power and sing with such conviction. John has a passion for reaching lost souls for Christ. He spends his time serving others in whatever capacity God needs him.
He was baptized into Christ at the Hernando Rd. Church of Christ in Holly Springs, MS in 2003. He developed a love for preaching as he watched his grandfather, James P. Cooper, Sr. as well as several other ministers in the N. Mississippi area.
John "Jay" Cooper is currently resides in Athens, AL and is a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Rogersville, AL under the leadership of Bro. Freeman Malone, Jr. John "Jay" is n active member of Committed Acappella Chorus and C-3 (Christ's Chosen Children) and also travels across the brotherhood singing and preaching. He hopes to be a light to those in darkness and a source of encouragement to those who are striving to make Heaven their home.
As a young man John has endure many hard trials and found God to be his Mighty Deliverer. God has put a song in his heart and continual praise on his lips. He loves to sing of the goodness of God.
